Day 4, size 8 dresses and no sleep

Bubby didn't feel like sleeping much last night, apparently. I  had finally just got her down after yet another bottle at 2:30am-ish, when an alarm went off at 3am and carried across half of Kingscliff. That didn't help. It went for half an hour, easily. It was a perfect opportunity to eat my pre-prepared breaky at 3:30am :) That same alarm woke my teen at 6:30am, but by that time, I had been awake for ages. Again, bubby just wouldn't sleep. I think I got 5 broken hours. Chalk it up to one of those nights.

When I'm a little bit tired, I am tempted to eat like crazy. When I'm this tired, I eat because I have to, not want to. Except for breaky, I wasn't fussed on food today, which made eating sensibly megga easy.

Breaky: soaked oats, chia seeds, plain yoghurt, cinnamon and cherries.

Hubby had to do a Bunnings trip today. As it was heating up quickly, I decided to escape the heat and tag along. We ended up op-shopping. I found some stunning dresses- both size 8, that fit and look fantastic and flattering! One is a white beachy/ summer dress, perfect for a hot day at Seaworld tomorrow, and one is a gorgeous green, floaty, feminine Sportsgirl dress. I LOVE op-shopping for so many reasons, especially when coming across bargain finds like these. The heels I found there are amazing too- and exactly my size and look great with both outfits :)

Before we left for shopping, I made a simple late breaky for hubby, and had some of it as my morning tea. Hubby had his Chinese treat for lunch. However, I had some brain defogger, otherwise known as a cuppa, and a 25gm packet of snack nuts- though I forgot what flavour. They were really good though!

As the day progressed, my exhaustion reached it's peak. I couldn't face cooking, so I cheated and purchased 3 pizzas- from the supermarket freezer- for the fam. It was well received. I however, had this...

Spinach and beetroot leaves, topped with pesto, 2 poached eggs and a piece of zucchini slice. To that, I added a drizzle of sesame oil for a different taste. I followed it with a sachet of miso soup made from  paste. Unattractive but satisfying and quite yum too.

I am faaaar too tired to waffle on anymore, so I will end with my menu for today...

Breaky at 3:30am: parfait (top). Coffee at 5:30am.
Morning tea at 8:30am: 1.5 egg omlette with cheese (no milk) and a piece of paleo bread.
Lunch at 11:30am: Cappuccino and 25gms nuts.
Afternoon tea at 3pm: small banana.
Dinner at 4:30pm: Above salad with a cup of miso soup.

I think the fact my non teen is in Japan may be the reason I'm suddenly craving miso soup again :) I LOVE Japanese food. Hopefully, we will get back there next year!!!

I may not post over the weekend, but I will keep you informed on what has happened when i next do. Until then, thanks for reading :)
