Another beautiful day :)
I finally did it- stepped back on those scary sales. I am hormonal, bloated and had just downed a gigantic milky coffee before weighing in, yet to my surprise, I weighed a fraction below 64kg! Yes- I have lost nearly 5kg, and kept it off, in my quest to regain my health. I'm more than happy about that. Diet plays a very big part in weight loss. I have proven that without a huge amount of exercise other than housework and walking, I have lost weight by watching what I eat. I still eat fat- love my bacon and butter! I just portion control it, and cut out the sugary, empty calories that supply energy that if not burnt off, decides to move in, renovate (out, I have found) and take over the house. Not the kind of tenants I want.
Happy about this mornings weigh in :)
Today is my sweet little bubby's half birthday. We celebrated by taking her for her first swim at Hasting's Point after church. She wasn't keen initially, but soon warmed to it with mummy praise and support. My knee and back made getting down on the ground, and up again, very difficult, but I wasn't letting anything ruin my day. I even allowed myself to wear a beach dress that only covered half of my legs. I was a bit mortified my board shorts still don't quite fit. Then I realised I am sick of being ashamed I'm not athletic, or have model legs. I have cellulite and wobbles. So what?! My bubby deserves to see healthy self esteem modeled, so today was my first step to doing just that. It felt good. I didn't look out of place. Giant victory right there. Freedom feels good :)
My sweet little bubby enjoyed her first real saltwater experience. Plenty more to come :)
And now, drum roll please, it is time for my fabulous reveal!!! I have been dying to show off my newly found curves since shedding 5kg's, and show off clothes I never thought I would be confident enough to wear, but here I am, feeling fabulous and gorgeous with a brand new style. I can't thank Annelyse Lumley enough for her brilliant styling package. She is amazing, and absolutely lovely to spend time shopping with. Kind of a plus really, considering her field :) I have been converted from detesting clothes shopping. Sorry hubby! Annelyse is professional, has an eye for style, is incredibly patient and helped a mum (me!) who predominately wore drab, shapeless and long black clothes feel attractive, colourful and much slimmer. If you live locally, you must check her out at Annelyse Lumley.
Now, only 2 items are shown here, but I have also learnt how to mix and match to turn a few items into many looks. Dollar saving right there. Yay! That means more shoes for me :)
This is my new fave dress. I feel so pretty in this! I never would have considered buying this without Annelyse's guidance. However, when I put it on, I was amazed and instantly loved it. It's a size 10 and fits perfectly. I have always hidden my knees. This dress skims them. It is so flattering for my short curves.
Pose number two, just because I look happier here :) I love the neutral heels. They are comfy, and make my legs look longer in them. Win win!
I found this gorgeous skirt at an op-shop. I was thrilled when Annelyse loved it too- proof I had been listening to her advice. The top is very bust flattering, and I just love the brilliant blue necklace. I have never been a huge jewelry fan, but once again, I'm a convert :) Oops, nearly forgot- I love the simple sandal too, something I never would have considered before but also now love.
What made this weekend even more special was the fact that my reveal was at a women's break-up, run by the beautiful women of C3 Kingsliff. The event was held at a stunning private property and Annelyse was guest speaker.
The day started with some more shopping in the early afternoon, followed by some wardrobe mix and matching, then outfits chosen for the big reveal. Next, I was so spoiled with a make-up artist making my face perfect for the night. She was such a talented and very sweet girl, who drove all the way from Lismore- approximately a 1.5 hours away! I had my nails done too. Pamper city! It was actually humbling to accept that as women, we are allowed time for ourselves and allowed to be pampered every now and again. I also discovered something else- I love the natural look! I tend to be heavy on the eyeliner, my look for ever and a day. I just loved how fresh faced this gorgeous make-up artist made me look. It was a style I want to recreate. A weekend of new discoveries :)
There were fun Polaroids taken on the night. As I had turned up in my dark, boring clothes initially to make the reveal a surprise, I saved this photo for the end of the night when I looked fabulous :) Here I am pictured with a dear friend and precious mum, Angela.
I am curious as to what you think. Feel feel to post, but please, keep it respectful. I was talking to a gorgeous lady at the women's break-up who told me she regularly makes my paleo bread. I would love to hear from any of you who have attempted my recipes. Feedback is welcomed.
I haven't done this for a while, but this is what I ate today. I know you have all been curious :)
Breaky: wholemeal bread roll with 1/2 a avocado. Large milky cuppa.
Lunch: 2 egg omlette with a hint of cheese and sour cream. Coffee.
Early dinner: Cherry protein smoothy with yoghurt.
Evening snack: raw almonds and an apple.
Tomorrow promises to be a big cook up day. We are out of everything! Until then, thanks for reading, and for leaving feedback. It inspires and encourages me.
