Day 12, so little sleep




This sweet little bubby kept up her eating often all through the night. Lucky mumma. Night shift was tough. And as I do night shift solo, I am one zombie human today who would just like to eat carbs. Brains are gross! 

I wish I had some brilliant, witty comments to wow you all. Or amaze you with my sleep deprived recipe awesomeness. But the reality just ain't that interesting. My apologies for being boring, but I am impressed with today, because I got dressed! Actual, non sleep wear kinda dressed. Ok, not until the afternoon, but it did happen. Go me!

Hubby, bubby and my teen went grocery shopping this afternoon. It wasn't much of a choice when things had run out and pay had come in. Miraculously, I was on budget, despite my brain fog. Another plus for the day. Glad I made the effort to dress.

I was utterly starving and wanted to eat, eat and keep eating anything but healthy food. This is a list of the reality of today...

Breaky: strawberry parfait and a cuppa at 7am.
Morning tea: 2 left over dinner rolls, plain, and a cuppa at 9am.
Lunch: small left over salad and chicken and another cuppa at 11:30am.
Afternoon tea: another cuppa at 2pm.
Dinner: Pork steak and simple salad with olive oil dressing at 4:45pm.
Dessert: 3/4 cup plain yoghurt with heaps of strawberries at 5:30pm.

I drank far too much coffee today, so that is my next challenge- cutting back. Eeeek! I also wished I had grabbed the apple and not the 2 dinner rolls. Considering my state, I am impressed I only ate 2 of the 5! 

Let us hope my sweet little one sleeps so I can make some amazing yumminess tomorrow. Hubby encouraged me to walk with him and bubby after dinner, which I did. Around the block in the very fresh air was surprisingly lovely. Bubby loved being front facing in her carrier and smiled and chatted happily until home. Fingers crossed that wore her out!
