A change of plans from hubby today resulted in some much needed family time. And we decided to spend it visiting the swell sculpture festival at beautiful Currumbin. I'm incredibly grateful we live where we do- culture and stunning beaches on our doorstep.
Spending time with daddy is just swell :)
Even the houses got into it.
I love this work. It reminds me of an artist I feel in love with a few years ago at GoMA, Hiromi Tango.
This work appealed to me- a 3 dimension painting installation at a sculpture festival- out of the box and clever to me. Sometimes it's the simple things that work the best.
Because I had made so much food yesterday, today's menu was pretty well sorted. Hubby did have his fave takeaway for lunch, but other than a good coffee, I was satisfied with my packed lunch- fruit and nuts. I did eat too much tonight, and sadly wasted some as my stomach has actually shrunk-yay! I did do a huge amount of walking and four wheel drive pram pushing through the sand while checking out some clever works, so I feel I may have earned my big dinner :)
Todays eating went as follows...
Breaky: Pear bircher muesli at 4am- after bubby slept for 9 blissful hours!
Morning tea: Cuppa and pre- made omelette at 8:30am.
Lunch: Cappuccino, 1 apple and half a container of almonds at 12 noon.
Afternoon tea: small bowl of caponata at 2pm.
Dinner: 2 pieces of poached fish, salad, cheese and whole egg mayo at 6pm.
That's it for today. Hope you all had a great day too!
